General
Rangee TFT is the premium model of Rangee Thin Client product range.This appliance combines maximum functionality with smallest space requirements because of it’s integrated TFT display.

Hardware
The Rangee TFT-Model is ventilation free (passive cooling) and contains no moving parts just as all other appliances and can be optionally equipped with PCMCIA slot for Wireless LAN and ISDN/modem usage. All Appliances are equipped with onboard Ethernet.
The Rangee TFT-Model is available with 15 inch and 17 inch TFT display. The onboard video graphic chip offers 24 bit colour depth that allows ergonomic presentation.
The optional available integrated Smart Card Reader enables secure access to the network, which increases Network security.

Software
Rangee TFT-Model is offered with Microsoft Windows CE.Net operating system, Microsoft Windows XPembedded and also Rangee Linux PRO operating system. All solutions contain ICA and RDP client, local browser with all common plugins and Ericom Powerterm Terminal Emulation Software. Ericom Software is a leading provider of corporate connectivity, e-business, wireless and business-to-business solutions that extend the life of host and legacy data by creating Internet applications from existing host resources.

Remote Management
Rangee TFT-Model can be managed in several ways.

The easiest way to manage individual appliances will be the Webbrowser Administration. This function allows to connect to the Thin Client, you want to manage, remotely with no need for extra software except a webbrowser. Webbrowser Administration allows to manage the Thin Client from everywhere and at anytime in the network. (only avalable for Rangee Linux)

A second way is VNC. This will enable to shadow the complete users desktop. So the administrator can not only change settings on the machine, but he can also support the user during his session very easily. So it is not only a remote management tool, but also a very cost effective and user-friendly helpdesk solution. (only avalable for Rangee Linux)

Most important solution is Rangee Remote Management Software. This Remote Management Software can run on any device and operating system, because it it purely webbased. It allows to manage large groups of clients. It can be used to distribute settings of the terminal as well as configuration settings for server connections. The administrator can decide whether he wants to push the infomation at a certain time or if the clients checks regularly and automatically for new updates. Rangee Remote Management Software will make Thin Client Administration as easy as never known before. (already available for Microsoft CE/XP, available from June 2004 for Rangee Linux)

Warranty
The TFT-Model is offered with a two year warranty, which can be renewed at any time. Rangee GmbH offers a five year maximum warranty period.

A two year software subscription is also included in the selling price. Customers will receive software updates within this software subscription. This keeps the software in the Thin Client always up-to date. Software subscription be renewed at any time.

Warranty Renewal
- SHG-1: Hardware Warranty / Software Subscription renewal for one year (15% of selling price)
- SHG-2: Hardware Warranty / Software Subscription renewal for two years (20% of selling price)
- SHG-3: Hardware Warranty / Software Subscription renewal for three years (25% of selling price)
